RAM 1500 vs F-150 vs Silverado Truck Comparison

The truck market is hotter than ever. With several choices to choose from, it can be difficult to know where to start. Whether your main concern is luxury, hauling, or customization, we have a truck for you! We looked at the 2019 RAM 1500, Ford F-150, and the Chevy Silverado 1500. Here’s what you should know.

Ram 1500: Loaded with Luxury

Why it makes us happy: Named the 2019 MotorTrend truck of the year, the Ram 1500 is big on comfort, luxury and tech. Richly equipped, the Ram 1500 features a premium interior with creature comforts such as a 12-inch infotainment display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability and heated and ventilated front seats with 12-way power adjustability. Also big on truck bed tech, it comes with the RAMBOX Cargo Management System, a class-exclusive that provides versatile, weatherproof, lockable, illuminated and drainable storage bins with 115-volt, 400-watt outlets.

F-150: King of Customization

Why it makes us happy: With 6 different trim levels, 3 cab and box sizes, and 4 different engine choices, the F-150 can be customized for every job and every personality. Whether you need a fuel-efficient, eco city commuter or a rugged, diesel-powered farm truck, the F150 can meet you there. A long list of available features include integrated trailer brake controller, Pro Trailer Backup Assist, blind spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, a 360-degree camera system, remote start, navigation, power-adjustable pedals, leather-trimmed seats, heated and ventilated front seats.

Silverado 1500: Handsome Hauler

Why it makes us happy: Perfect for weekend warriors who need to get the job done, the Silverado has six different powertrain combinations for various towing and hauling needs. The Silverado is top in cargo capacity and now features a wider cargo bed, at 63 cubic feet in short-bed models. A new roll-formed, high-strength steel bed floor is 1.5 times the strength of the previous model, and it has 12 stationary tie-downs that are double the strength of the ones on the previous Silverado. Towing is made easier with a hitch view camera and optional Advanced Trailering System.
