Volkswagen recently debuted the ID.4, their first all-electric SUV.
Volkswagen says the ID.4 has an EPA-estimated range of 250 miles. The battery can be charged at home on 110- or 240-volt connections, as well as DC fast charging. Buyers get three years of free charging with VW’s Electrify America charging network with approximately 470 charging stations in the US, and over 2,000 DC fast chargers.
The rear-mounted motor has 201 horsepower but the dual-motor all-wheel drive model has 302.
Inside, the ID.4 has a bright, uncluttered, and roomy feel with a contemporary design filled with high-tech features. The ID.4 comes with a 10.0-inch infotainment touchscreen that can be upgraded to a larger 12.0-inch display with the optional Statement package.
ID Light, Volkswagen’s intuitive lighting system, emanates light from around the center console, along the dash, and behind the controls on the doors to telegraph incoming calls, brake warnings, charge status and more.
Cloth seats are standard but adding the optional Statement package adds faux-leather upholstery along with 12-way power adjustable front seats with massage and memory functionality.
The ID.4 has ample cargo space. There is over 3ft of leg room for each passenger and 64.2 cu ft of cargo space with the rear seats folded down.
The ID.4 EV comes equipped with easy to use, Advanced Drivers Assistance Technologies, including IQ.DRIVE, which offers hands-on semi-autonomous capability that transforms your driving experience. Safety features included on the ID.4 include Standard Lane Departure Warnings with Lane Keep Assist, Standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and Available adaptive cruise control with semi-autonomous driving mode.
