2021 RAM 1500 TRX

To say that the 2021 RAM 1500 TRX is a powerful truck, would be a massive understatement. This Hellcat-powered half-ton is made for fun. The intimidating Ram 1500 TRX has a 6.2-liter Hemi that produces 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The TRX is meant to play in the mud, rocks, and sand, but handles well on the paved roads, despite its hefty size. 

8 inches wider than the regular RAM 1500, the TRX has a reinforced steel frame, advanced suspension technology, and massive 35-inch all-terrain tires mounted on 18-inch wheels that contribute to the truck’s 11.8 inches of ground clearance. The TRX can ford up to 32 inches of water, has Bilstein remote-reservoir dampers, an electronic-locking rear differential, and massive 15.0-inch front brakes. 

It has a maximum towing capacity of 8100 pounds, and can carry up to 1310 pounds of payload.

Inside, the TRX has a luxurious interior and the latest technology. There is a 12.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, built-in navigation, and SiriusXM satellite radio.

The TRX’s flat-bottom steering wheel features a pair of prominent paddle shifters, but there’s also a floor shifter located on the center console. Available options include a digital rearview mirror, a head-up display, and heated and ventilated front seats.

Safety features on the 2021 TRX include driver assistance technology such as lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control.
