The 2021 Elantra received a bold update on the inside and out. The company’s compact sedan has a modern redesign with advanced tech and safety features.
All three Elantra trims come standard with a 147-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a continuously variable automatic transmission. Hyundai will offer a hybrid Elantra for the first time and is hoping for an EPA combined rating of 50 mpg or higher. The hybrid model will use a 1.6-liter four-cylinder paired with an electric motor to make 139 horsepower. A performance N Line version will also be part of the 2021 Elantra lineup.
There is an available hi-res 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation, the largest screen in its class. The fully digital instrument cluster is an integrated panel that displays your information and entertainment. A voice-recognition feature allows the driver to adjust the climate control or the heated seats.
With Hyundai’s class exclusive Digital Key, you can unlock your doors, start the engine, and send digital copies of your key to family and friends, all from your smartphone.
Included key safety features include: Standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, Standard lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and Available adaptive cruise control with lane-centering feature.
The 2021 Elantra will carry Hyundai’s famed 10-year/100,000-mile warranty.
